The Non-Linear and Non-Time Bound Impact of Coaching

The magic of coaching lies in the spaces between and after our sessions - it's where the work goes to work.

This was a big AH-HA for me during a coaching seminar with Marshall Goldsmith. He spoke about value and time non-linearly in a way I hadn't heard before.

It's not about the time we spend together, but the exponential growth that happens when our client takes our work and run with it.

Lesson learned: Get crystal clear about the VALUE that your product or service has to offer, not only the amount of time your client must invest into it. 

Here are some of my favorite value statements when it comes to coaching:

"What is the value of coaching?"

• Time dedicated to think deeply
• Having someone who is always on your side
• Better listening and speaking skills
• Relationship to self and others improve
• Goals achieved; now and in the future
• Increased sense of possibilty, multiple pathways
• Congruency/alignment
• Connection to purpose and impact
