There's a sport debate that goes: "do you build a team around the system?" or "do you build a system around the team?"

It's the classic chicken or the egg debate 😂

Entrepreneurship - and specifically - building a service-based business around a single person asks the same question.

Now... I'm biased, but I believe in building the system around the individual. Optimize for strengths. Manage for weaknesses. And install the necessary widgets and systems required to maximize time allotted to the highest-value and highest-fun activities.

Here are some powerful questions to reflect on:

• What activities light you up more than others?
• Where do your greatest strengths and joys converge?
• What's the through-line of your purpose and impact?

I'm not naive enough to ascribe to the "follow your passion and you'll be successful"....BUT...

Once you get clarity on yourself, you're tapping into something far more sustainable - your innermost passion and gifts to the world.

I think that's how we create lasting impact while feeling more alive.
